Rebecca Wang and Patrons of Elton John AIDS Foundation Invited to Exclusive Woodside Gallery Dinner David Walliams, Joan Baez, and Dynamo gather for a magical dinner and auction for patrons of the Elton John AIDS Foundation at the Woodside Gallery Dinner, June 22, 2017.

A gorgeous Queen Anne style mansion will provide the setting for the Woodside Gallery Dinner, hosted by the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF), on June 22, 2017. Woodside is the stunning Windsor home of Sir Elton John and David Furnish, adjacent to the Old Windsor estate.

Writer and storyteller David Walliams will emcee the event, and legendary American songwriter Joan Baez will perform in front of an intimate and exclusive guest list on the beautifully landscaped grounds of Woodside.

The event will feature a private auction to benefit the largest hospital for children with HIV in Africa. Select items to be auctioned include a one-of-a-kind necklace from Bvlgari. Artist David Hockney and David Walliams himself will each offer personalized creations. Guests will also have the chance to bid on tickets to see Elton John and Andrea Bocelli at the Coliseum in Rome.

As a long-serving patron of EJAF, Rebecca Wang has been invited to support the organization once more. “Sir Elton John and David Furnish are always so generous to open up their home to friends and guests for such an elegant event,” she says. “The Elton John AIDS Foundation has been critical in the fight against the AIDS epidemic for nearly twenty-five years!”

The Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) is one of the largest privately-funded institutions in the world working to overcome AIDS. Since its beginning the Foundation has prioritized the pivotal areas of treatment, prevention, and education, and raised over $350 million to support more than 1,400 projects world-wide.

“Sir Elton John’s dedication to helping those in need is a daily inspiration for me,” Wang explains.

Arts and Philanthropy Collide to Celebrate Sir Elton John

Rebecca Wang celebrates Sir Elton John’s 70th birthday by supporting the Hammer Museum and the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

Celebrities, musicians, art enthusiasts, and philanthropists alike will join Sir Elton John to celebrate his 70th birthday on Saturday, March 25, 2017. The world-renowned musician and philanthropist and host Rob Lowe will welcome guests, including Tom Ford, Steve Wonder and Rebecca Wang, at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles for a private dinner featuring musical performances by Lady Gaga.

The occasion will also mark the 50th anniversary of Sir Elton John’s collaboration with Bernie Taupin and will be hosted in the stunning outdoor courtyard of the Hammer Museum. Proceeds from the evening will help support two of Sir Elton John’s greatest passions: the arts and philanthropy.

“It is so wonderful to be a part of such an auspicious event, not only to celebrate the life and work of one of the greatest artists of all time, Sir Elton John, but also to support the inspiring programs at the Hammer Museum and the global initiatives of the Elton John AIDS Foundation,” says Rebecca Wang, who is a long term supporter of the foundation.

The Hammer Museum brings diverse and engaging exhibitions to the public for free, allowing visitors to experience a wide range of ideas in an inviting space. Since 1990, the Hammer Museum has catered the innovative spirit of dynamic forms of art and performance. By allowing the free flow of challenging ideas, visitors can encounter meaningful perspectives on the world around them.
